inspecteur musique presents INSP-001, a 3-tracker ep produced by Artist Indépendant. the release is called Edits That Should Have Stayed On My Hard Drive.

the A side features two reworked versions of a mid-2000s french rap anthem, originally written by a pioneering woman who has since stepped away from the music industry. the lead was extracted using a mixture of sampling techniques and ai tooling.

the B side is a cut-and-merge edit of a late-80s album from India that achieved worldwide recognition — a proto-acid-house landmark built on avant-garde TB-303 leads, composed by a generational talent who passed away in 2015. the melody was created again following traditional carnatic modes from south india. all editing works were made between 2018 and 2025.

reusbi is a french dj based in berlin. he leads the record label inspecteur musique, and co-founded 192 rec. moonlighting as a data engineer, he scrapes the web for quirky, robotic and melancholic sounds. as a dj, he blends his favorite records and cds, mostly to dance to, sometimes to chill to. in his reptilian form, he plays with the dj trio 192 gmbh.
